You come here, you let them do it their way. They’ve been doing it for over 100 years so there is nothing to do but trust that the burger is going to blow your mind with its simplicity but also how delicious it is. The staff loves to make quick and witty jokes. Just go in with respect to an establishment who does it their own way and ONLY their way. If you can do that you’ll have an unforgettable memory and you’ll be able to join a club of many people before you.

Burger was decent, service was OK, no ketchup seems a little outdated and unusual. Overall it’s an experience and everyone should try it once!

This place is small and cozy. The menu is simple with a hamburger using sandwich bread and your add on options. Potato salad is a must to try. Don't ask for ketchup, trust me you won't need condiments. The hamburger is flavorful and made to perfection.

Louis’ lunch some of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. I feel like the employee should be annoyed at all the videos and pictures people take but they are super friendly. They make great quality food. The atmosphere is awesome because it feels like you just walked into 1922. There is a bathroom and if the place is packed seating could be a little tight. There is public parking on the street out front or side streets nearby and the prices are pretty decent. Everyone who visits New England must visit this place remember not to ask them for ketchup.

Truly amazing inside, the burgers are just great! They're all cooked medium, no exceptions, but they come out so juicy and delicious. Price is good, not expensive at all.

I thought this might be a tourist trap, but the food is actually really good. The burger is delicious. The potato salad don’t sleep on it. It’s actually amazing. It’s like mashed potatoes mixed with egg salad and the Keylime pie was also fantastic.

Passing through town and decided to stop at the Original! The birthplace of the burger It opened at noon and there was a line to get in. Quick soapbox commentary ... it is super rude for 1 person to get in line, and then right before entering, calling 4 other people to show up and get in line with you ... Grrrrr! Louis Lunch only has seats for maybe 15 people ... the rest have to stand. It is has a very limited menu. Hamburger or cheeseburger on plain white toast and your topping choices are simple, tomato and/or onion. In addition, there is potato salad, chips, and apple pie. And, several flavors of soda. Be prepared ... step up and make your order. Let's be perfectly honest, its a good burger and it is pretty cheap, but you are paying for the experience of going to the original hamburger stand. Highly recommended a trip to Louis' Lunch.

Historic spot and a must-visit for burger lovers. Louis’ Lunch claims to be the birthplace of the hamburger, serving the original style burger since 1900 on toasted bread with simple toppings. The vibe is classic and authentic — a real piece of American food history. Not the biggest or fanciest burger you’ll ever eat, but definitely worth the stop for the story, tradition, and taste.

It you want fast food this is not the place for you. If you want a delicious, juicy, well prepared burger this is the place for you. Very historical building, and the custom cast iron gas broilers are the centerpiece of the operation. Great customer service and quality of ingredients! Allow for appropriate time as it takes a while to fulfill your order. Had a very pleasant time talking with other patrons. Truly an American Treasure! Yummy, yummy, yummy! 😋

My first-time trying this historic sandwich and it was delicious! The beef patty was prepared medium rare and was juicy and flavorful, a hint of salt and absolutely NO condiments! Served with or without cheese, tomato & grilled onions... we waited 30 minutes to get to the counter to order, then another 15 minutes to pickup our hamburgers... Very limited seating but customers pretty much eat and leave, so seating does become available. No reservations, first come first served... Felt honored to taste America's hamburger creator, not disappointed 😋
